Islands District Long Distance Running Competition 2019
The Islands District Long Distance Running Competition organized by the Hong Kong Association of Youth Department was successfully held on 24th February. Our school has co-organized the event for 4 years in a row to show great dedication and support to the Tung Chung community. 421 sportsmen from Lantau district as well as all other areas in Hong Kong participated in the event. It was also seen as fitness programme for schools to promote healthy living. The Islands District Long Distance Running Competition has become a popular youth activity every year and is well supported by the community.
There are altogether 9 categories in the competition and our teachers and students joined the 10Km Race for Open group and 5km/ 10Km Race for under 19/ Under 15 Years old groups. They achieved outstanding results as follows:
